Article: Poll Shows Fewer Texans Back Bush on Iraq War Than Did Six Months Ago.

Dec. 14--WASHINGTON--Texans' approval of the way President Bush has handled the war in Iraq has dropped sharply over the past six months, according to a recent Scripps Howard Texas Poll.

At the same time, more Texans see a greater likelihood that U.S. troops will be posted in Iraq for the immediate future, with almost half predicting that troops will be deployed in Iraq anywhere between two and 10 years.

The survey by the Scripps Research Center in Abilene found just over half, 51 percent, of those polled said Bush was doing either an excellent or good job overseeing ...
