HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH, Mass. -- Hey, a guy doesn't even have to be on the ground here to know this area is an order of magnitude more blissful than Disneyland.
At 20,000 feet on the way to Boston Thursday, the pilot announced to the passengers on the United Airlines flight from Denver, "Ladies and gentlemen of Red Sox Nation, we're flying over New York City. If you look down to your left very closely, you can see Derek Jeter helping Alex Rodriguez load his golf bag into the car."
As laughter rolled through the cabin, a squint into the Manhattan twilight indeed revealed the forlorn twosome.
