To the Editor:
In response to the letter Dec. 2 - Planned Parenthood is not an elitist organization; it is a nonprofit. Regarding Margaret Sanger's theories of eliminating the "unworthy," it is an unwarranted jump to say those theories remain in any kind of applied use at Planned Parenthood today.
The organization's name means exactly what it says. This is the main reason for its education about and disbursement of birth control. Abortion is not the only option available in the eyes of professionals at Planned Parenthood. Adoption is always an option; so is parenting. The first time any ...
