Jerusalem, Dec 16 (PTI) Israel is planning to submit its charges against Saddam Hussein in preparation for a war crimes trial following the deposed Iraqi leader's capture.
Attorney General Eliyakim Rubinstein has instructed several government legal departments to begin collecting data on the damages caused in the Gulf War of 1991 when the Iraqi dictator fired 39 scud missiles into Israel, causing one death and considerable destruction of property.
Israel did not retaliate - to avoid alienating Washington's Arab allies - after US Patriot missile interceptor batteries were positioned around its cities.
