Dec. 15--The city's potent blend of history, culture and commerce proved a major attraction for the Texan picked to lead the city's tourism marketing agency.
The attraction was strong enough to woo Dale Lockett out of the heart of Texas to take over the reins at the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Lockett will become president and CEO of the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau next month at an annual salary of $125,000. He will replace Mary Kay Cline, who retires Dec. 31. Cline's annual salary was $118,000.
