Dec. 17--After nearly three years on the drawing boards, the first new office high-rise in downtown San Diego in more than a decade is finally coming out of the ground.
Developer Rob Lankford began work yesterday on the $140 million project, which had been on hold for so long that some local real estate experts questioned whether it would ever be built.
Late Monday, Lankford wrapped up the acquisition of property for Broadway 655, a 410,000-square-foot office, retail and residential building at Broadway and Kettner. Securing the land was the final piece of a ...
