Talk about bad timing. The day before the capture of Saddam Hussein, The New York Times ran another one of its pessimistic editorials on Iraq.
``While the Bush administration says things are going well in Iraq," the editors opined, ``the news from the American-led occupation is looking like a catalog of easily predictable, and widely predicted, pitfalls."
The coalition, said the paper, has been ``unable to develop reliable intelligence of its own ...''
