PEARL HARBOR--Three members of FISC Pearl Harbor Naval Reserve Unit 220, SK1 Ben Alarcio, SK3 Annette Makaena, and SK2 Alvin Villegas, spent two months this summer on active duty at NAS Sigonella, Italy. NAS Sigonella is often referred to as "the Hub of the Med" because nearly everything going into the Mediterranean theater flows through this airfield. That includes material bound for units in Iraq, neighboring support bases, and ships in the region.
