MANILA, PHILIPPINES -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a US$3.92 million regional technical assistance (RETA) grant to tackle environment issues directly affecting the poor. Most of the grant will come from ADB's new Poverty and Environment Fund (PEF).

The RETA will identify and implement small-scale pilot projects, conduct analytical studies, and disseminate information in the three main areas:
