EchoStar Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH) announced today that its DISH Network(TM) now offers local TV channels by satellite television to Hartford-New Haven, Conn. The following local TV channels are offered: ABC Ch. 8 (WTNH), CBS Ch. 3 (WFSB), NBC Ch. 30 (WVIT), FOX Ch. 61 (WTIC), WB Ch. 20 (WTXX), UPN Ch. 59 (WCTX), PBS Ch. 24 (WEDH) and Univision Ch. 18 (WUVN).
This is the first time local TV channels are available by DISH Network satellite TV in the Hartford-New Haven area, providing an alternative to local cable TV service. Local channels will be offered at $5.99 ...
