MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Abbott Northwestern Hospital today announced that two Minneapolis families have donated more than $6 million for construction of its new heart hospital.

Kenneth and Judy Dayton, long-time philanthropists in the Minneapolis community for civic, social and cultural causes, made a gift of $3.225 million for construction of the heart hospital.
