A FAMILIAR T-shirt in Hollywood reads: " But what I really want to do is direct." it is worn by waitresses, bartenders, car-park attendants. It should really be sold only to actors. over the past five years there has been a sharp increase in the number of actors going behind the camera: if not to direct films, then to produce them.
