Northwest Airlines Expands Myrtle Beach, S.C., Service.

Dec. 17--Northwest Airlines is expanding its Myrtle Beach service, with seasonal nonstop flights to and from Minneapolis/St. Paul, beginning March 6. The weekly flights are planned to run through June 5, but Northwest spokesman Thomas Becher said flights could be extended or converted to daily service, depending on demand.

The new route will offer the only nonstop service west of the Mississippi River from Myrtle Beach.
