A lively crowd gathered outside the baroque Teatro Villamarta in Jerez last March, eager for a weekend of first-rate flamenco. Every spring the elegant Audalusian town in Spain draws aficionados from all over the world to its famous flamenco festival, and for Miguel Marin, it is a gold mine. Dedicated to introducing the best flamenco artists to American audiences, the Madrid-based Marin goes to Jerez to scout talent for his Flamenco Festival, which tours every January and February.
