HANOI, Dec 18 Asia Pulse - Following the installation of a new platform in the Rang Dong oil field off the coast of HCM City, associated gas from the field, which used to be burnt offshore, will be transported to shore for use.
The Vietnam - Japan Petroleum Company (JVPC) last week put the CPC-N offshore centre platform into operation, 140km off the southern metro, according to the Japanese-invested company, the field's major operator.
The US$140 million platform includes three sub-processing platforms, jacket systems and two bridges.
