Dec. 19--Bob Brown has been in museums from Denver to Chicago to New York, and in all of them, the animals have been behind glass.
"There is the perception that the animals are there, and we're here," said Brown, director of the Rolling Hills Zoo and Wildlife Museum, located six miles west of Salina.
As he developed plans for the new Rolling Hills Wildlife Museum, he went for a different feel. The new museum, expected to completed by September at a cost of $8 million, will be the first total-immersion museum in North America.
