Taking a close look at manufacturers' reps
Not everyone needs a manufacturer's rep. Nor does everyone need a manufacturer's rep in all territories.
Many companies only need reps for certain purposes or certain territories.
Look at your own needs
First of all, you survey your own company and its distinct needs. In territories where volume is heavy, you have your own people carrying your line exclusively or looking out for the specifications you need to keep your business going.
These men and women are either on salary or on draw against commission. They are your employees.
But, away from these territories, there is business you want which would take ...
