WHEN the National Defense Act of 1935 created the Armed Forces of the Philippines, it clearly defined an axis of advance for every Filipino soldier. That axis of advance was premised not only on the national interest and the provisions of the Constitution. But also on the aspirations of the Filipino people.
Today, the Filipino soldier continues to march in unison with these aspirations as embodied in the governments social economic and political objectives.
