Dec. 19--There is talk of training chefs in Roanoke.
Officials at the Roanoke Higher Education Center have discussed bringing the culinary arts program at Bristol's Virginia Intermont College to Roanoke.
They are considering renovating a building on First Street in Northwest Roanoke beside the old Ebony Club for the school, said state Sen. John Edwards, D-Roanoke, chairman of the board at the higher education center. But that location and other plans have not yet been finalized, he and others stress.
