The Syracuse Salty Dogs did some off-season shopping in Wednesday's A-League college draft - trying to bolster its defense and goalkeeping.
It was just an early step in trying to improve on the team's 11-12-5 mark in it's inaugural season in the soccer league.
The selection of Wake Forest All-American goalkeeper William Hesmer and Syracuse University senior defender Chris Aloisi was a start towards filling what Salty Dogs coach Laurie Calloway expects to be six or seven available roster spots for the team's second season.
Unfortunately, there's a chance that neither player will end up in Syracuse. ...
