Article: EU/ACP: EURO 1.4 BILLION FOR POVERTY PROGRAMMES.(European Union, Africa, Carribean, Pacific)

For Africa, the priorities are infrastructure (mainly transport), budget support to fight poverty, education and health, private sector development, governance, democracy, human rights, agriculture, environment and water. For the Caribbean, the aid supports regional integration, and for the Pacific, it bolsters the creation of a regional free trade area (the PICTA).

The grants are as follows:
