Flotation Cells
The mining industry is struggling with rising costs, decreasing ore grades and low metal prices. In tackling these problems, flotation plant operators and the equipment manufacturers have come up with numerous ideas to help reduce unit costs and improve recoveries.
Since the late 1960s, an industry trend toward the need to process tonnages greater than 100,000 t/d has led to the development and use of ever larger flotation machines. In general, as process tonnage has increased, the potential benefits of the larger machines have become even more evident - greater use of floor space, cheaper installation costs, more efficient power utilization, ...
