WC Loss Control Needs More Than Lip Service
I seriously doubt anyone would argue that we are not in the midst of a workers' compensation crisis.
Clearly there is a problem. According to the Boca Raton, Fla.-based National Council on Compensation Insurance, total workers' compensation costs amount to more than 2 percent of payroll, double that of 15 years ago.
To help ameliorate the problem, employers have to begin to pay more than lip service to loss control.
At long last, the "crisis" is providing an irrefutable argument for increased emphasis on employer loss control - the timing is right.
