A recent study by British researchers supports several other studies that show substituting cow's milk for breastmilk might promote heart disease and high blood pressure later in life. Studies have proven that babies who are fed breastmilk are healthier, less likely to become obese, and have better brain function.
Although infant formula manufacturers have tried to make it similar to breastmilk, they have not been able to replicate it. Initially, in the 1970s, formulas were based on dried cow's milk, and breastfeeding was not in style in countries such as the United States and Britain.
