Culinary use of vinegar is well documented, and every home has some version of the condiment. Not everyone uses it for the same purpose, however. The Vinegar Institute of the United States attributes some practical and unexpected properties to vinegar, claiming that it can remove stains from ceramics, brighten stainless kitchen equipment, eliminate unpleasant cooking odors, remove fruit stains from your hands, and get rid of lime deposits in a kettle. Of course, there is no need to use traditional balsamic vinegar for these purposes. Cheap white vinegar will do nicely!
