Three more Fort Lewis soldiers have been killed in Iraq as the number of casualties from the post climbed to 19 for the month of May, the deadliest for the post since the war began.
So far this month, 23 military servicemen with ties to Washington have been identified as killed in Iraq.
The soldiers were killed in two separate attacks in the past week, the Defense Department said in a statement Wednesday.
