This year will be one of the most critical in the history of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The fighting is not over.
During its awareness campaign from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5, the Congo National Episcopal Conference (CENCO) implored individual Canadians to assist with the Congo's peaceful transition to democracy. The African delegation also spoke about the role of the church in a country that has been ravaged by bloody feuds--even during "peacetime."
