"Paycheck" is the sort of generic action movie Ben Affleck, Uma Thurman, Aaron Eckhart and director John Woo make to plug an otherwise empty space in their busy schedules.
Time is money, as they say ("they" being agents). Time is also money for the underpaid-in-his-era Philip K. Dick, whose story serves as the basis for this film's uninspired script by Dean Georgaris and whose work also has been the basis for "Blade Runner," "Total Recall" and "Minority Report."
