Recent software advances have given campus one-card and security systems enormous new capabilities, according to Kent Pawlak, director of campus card services at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). "We think we've built a best of class system at UTA," he says.
The university's new security capabilities include tighter integration between access control and closed circuit television (CCTV) systems, more detailed and better communicated action plans for security personnel, and enhanced alarm management.
