Dec. 25--Lyn Schroeder of Englewood had planned to serve eye round to her holiday guests this Saturday, because it's always a big hit and it's easy. But after hearing reports of mad cow disease, she hesitated at the butcher department at ShopRite.
"I'm worried that if I put out beef, people won't eat it," she said, fingering a leg of lamb after deciding against the roasts. "I'm not scared about the disease myself, but I don't want to make any of my guests uncomfortable.
