Advantages
All-electric injection moulding machines not only meet the need for specific applications, they also offer advantages over conventional machines. "There are very few areas in which pump-driven machines or full accumulator units have basic advantages," said Dr Jorg Dassow, Head of the Application Department at Ferromatik Milacron during the company's open house recently. However, he mentioned that this would be where extremely long and high dwell pressures are required, which is still the domain of hydraulic machines.
