"Imports represent a very small portion of the Brazilian music products market; ninety percent of the products sold n Brazil are made in Brazil. There are, I'd say, 50 good-quality manufacturers, and maybe five good-quality importers of American instruments. My main competitors are local manufacturers.
"Pride Music concentrates on 20 or 25 imported lines. The biggest lines we carry include Shure, Fender, Korg, Pearl, Zildjian, and Allen & Heath, and we recently picked up Numark and Phonic. The DJ market is growing; everything that happens in the United States also happens in Brazil one or two years later. ...
