2004 JAN 5 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc., (RIGL) announced positive clinical safety data for R112, an experimental drug to treat allergic rhinitis, indicating that R112 is well tolerated and demonstrates a favorable safety profile in the study population.
Three different dose regimens were studied in groups of six volunteers each and compared with placebo controls over a 10-day treatment period. The safety data collected indicated that subjects treated with R112 were indistinguishable from the placebo controls across a wide range of clinical and laboratory safety tests.
