Oct. 9--MONROVIA, Calif.--It's the bane of every computer programmer's existence: Hours and hours of code have been written, but the program still doesn't work. What's an unwitting software writer to do?

Adam Kolawa will tell you. As the chief executive officer of Monrovia-based Parasoft Corp., Kolawa has founded a company and amassed 10,000 clients by helping them correct other software programs' errors.

The firm has designed a suite of software applications that find mistakes in software code and then suggest ways to fix the errors.
