DETROIT _ As expected, the Detroit Pistons activated small forward Darvin Ham before Monday's game against New Orleans. Ham had missed the previous nine games with a sprained right wrist.
Coach Larry Brown had wanted him on the active roster for the past week, hoping the energy and spark he exhibited in practice could help the team. He played six minutes Monday and did not score.
Ham's presence might reduce starter Tayshaun Prince's minutes. Prince, the team's third-leading scorer at 10.8 points per game before Monday, averaged 36 minutes per game. He ranked fourth behind Ben Wallace (40), Chauncey Billups (37.2) and ...
