Jan. 1--Nothing casts a shadow on the holiday afterglow like a pile of bills from Christmas purchases.
Those looking to make a financial New Year's resolution may want to consider socking money away every month to reduce credit card debt for Christmas 2004. One relatively painless method of saving for the holidays is through Christmas Club accounts. For example, a $20 deposit made every two weeks from January through October would yield $400, plus dividends or interest.
