Friendly Ice Cream Corp., Wilbraham, MA, is recalling some half-gallon containers of its "Apple Pie a la Mode, Limited Edition" ice cream. The recalled flavor was sold in supermarkets, convenience stores and Friendly's Restaurants in CT, DE, FL, IN, KY, MA, MD, ME, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, VT, WV and Washington, D.C. Reason for recall: The products may contain small pieces of a rubber-like material that could present a chocking hazard.
Kien Import Corp., Brooklyn NY, is recalling Evergreen Melon Candy. The product of Vietnam was distributed in 5-oz., uncoded, clear plastic bags, nationwide. Reason for recall: The products contain undeclared sulfites.
