MINNEAPOLIS -- International Dairy Queen, Inc., is asking a panel or tweens to test and develop "kid-friendly," potentially candy-based and -branded flavors for the chain's ice cream treats in 2004.
"Before launching new kid-friendly DQ treats, it made sense to find out from tweens themselves what grabs their attention and what they like," says Patty Halvorson, director of national and local promotions [or Dairy Queen. "This was opportunity to get into the world of the average eight- to 12-year-old and find out how to connect with them and what they find appealing."
