MILWAUKEE -- The number of hospital admissions in the Milwaukee area increased 3 percent during the first 11 months of 2003, the Wisconsin Hospital Association says.
The group said nearly 227,000 patients received inpatient care at Milwaukee area hospitals through November, compared with 220,000 during the same period the year before.
Some health officials say the change indicates a trend that parallels the aging population.
