A poet once wrote that there has to be a crack for the light to come in. I am a person who has cracked on occasion and, thus, I can also be called 'touched.' This latter term was often used, in older days, to describe people with mental illnesses. God has asked me to live with manic depression for all of my adult years, l am 53-years-old.
My perspective on this loving God in light of my situation is this: I know this God to be love itself, to have wrestled with me, to be in love with me. This God is light, compassion, mercy and grace. No person I have encountered has been more blessed than me.
