Oregon State could, by beating Oregon on Saturday and USC on Dec. 6, still earn a tie for the Pac-10 title, but the Beavers aren't in the race for the league's Rose Bowl berth.
The Beavers (4-2 Pac-10) would also need Washington State (6-1) to lose its league finale Saturday to Washington to have any hope at a share of the title. OSU, however, loses tiebreakers to both WSU and USC (5-1) in deciding the Rose Bowl berth.
If the Pac-10 ended with OSU and WSU in a two-way tie for the title at 6-2, the head-to-head results determine the Rose Bowl representative, and the Cougars won that game 36-30. If it was a ...
