At the risk of sounding like an alarmist, mobile phones aka cellphones can be a health risk. We agree with Vic del Fierro, president of the Coalition for Consumer Protection & Welfare Inc. (CCPWI), who sent us a consumer advisory regarding them.

Frankly, being an avid user of a cellphone, I have often wondered how we ever survived without them.

Mobile phones indeed are so convenient. They are available at any given second, complete with telephone directory, and they come in handy when youre out of town (no need of long distance operators and no extra cost for a long distance call) and when youre out of the country (well, that costs extra but how minimal!).
