The owner of Ohio's Bryan Times said last week that it had reached a definitive agreement with the family that owns the Northwest Signal of Napoleon, Ohio, to purchase the paper.
Neither Bryan Publishing Co. nor the Signal's owners, the Kuser family, revealed the terms of the deal.
The Signal is a Monday-through-Friday paper circulating about 5600 copies, while the Times is a Monday-through-Saturday, 10,568-circulation evening paper. The deal also included a 8500-circulation weekly shopper.
The two papers are in communities in adjacent counties about 25 miles apart, with Toledo about 50 miles to the northeast.
