Deep Sea Leisure, the Alternative Investment Market listed aquarium operator, is in discussions about possible acquisitions of further attractions.

The company confirmed that talks are underway as it posted results for the eight months to 31 October 2002 showing pre-tax profits of 1.14m [pounds sterling], before exceptional costs of 252,000 [pounds sterling]. This was achieved on turnover of 4.54m [pounds sterling], compared with turnover of 4.64m [pounds sterling] for the equivalent period in 2001, when profits were 878,000 [pounds sterling].
