Life, at least the way nationally syndicated radio announcer Peter Van De Graaff lives it, is terrific.
"Some people call it a sheltered life. I call it beautiful," the deep-voiced Van De Graaff says by phone from his home in Chicago. "If the beauty's there, why not focus on it? Why fill your mind and ears with garbage?"
Van De Graaff's nationally syndicated radio program is heard mostly during the wee hours in Eugene, on station KWAX, which is at 91.1 FM.
It is a program on which Van De Graaff attempts to make the world a more beautiful place by playing beautiful music.
