The 170 members of The Living Room were wary at first about a move from their house at 423 James St.
The Living Room is a place where people "infected and affected" by HIV can come for mutual support, counseling, a meal or food to take home.
The house on James Street had a real living room, unlike the new first-floor headquarters at 316 Catherine St., which is a wide-open group of halls and hallways that formerly served as a senior citizen's day-care center.
What they gave up in coziness was more than compensated for by the new Living Room, where members can interact more with each other and HIV ...
