The Florida A&M University College of Law has come full circle with the recent groundbreaking for its permanent campus in Orlando.
More than 300 FAMU alumni, supporters, community leaders, law students, and faculty attended the celebration.
Dr. Fred Gainous, president of the university, addressed the crowd and thanked them for their ongoing support of the school, which he said will provide opportunities for many future generations of Rattlers.
The law school was established in 1949 in Tallahassee but was closed by the state in 1966, and the last class graduated in 1968. After years of lobbying by FAMU supporters, the Florida Legislature passed a ...
