Leisure and hospitality workers can expect extra pay for working bank holidays if the TUC gets its way.
The TUC reported that nearly three million people worked over Easter this year and that it wants three additional statutory bank holidays to be introduced, with employees offered time off in lieu or additional pay. This would increase the UK's annual bank holidays from eight to 11, in line with other European countries.
