Pilot dies in Davao crash
DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur A pilot died when his plane hit a high-tension wire while he was conducting spraying operations at a banana plantation in Malalag town early Monday morning. Senior Supt. Samuel T. Navaja, Davao del Sur PNP director, identified the victim as Capt. Felix Cabardo, resident of Dona Mercedez subdivision in Davao City. He said Malalag policemen tried to rescue the pilot from the wreckage of the plane that exploded when it fell on the ground near a public school, but the efforts proved futile as Cabardo died instantly.
