The holiday shopping season brought tidings of joy - not to mention record revenues and first-time profits - to GiftCertificates.com.
The privately held Seattle company, which issues gift certificates for about 200 retailers, restaurants and hotels, posted a 35 percent gain in its revenues last year as more businesses and consumers turned to gift certificates as an alternative to traditional presents.
